“From Theory to Practice” Food Festival held at ASOIU
On December
2, the 3rd “From Theory to Practice” Food Festival was held at the Azerbaijan
State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), organized by the Department of
“Technology of Organic Substances and High-Molecular Compounds.”
Speaking at
the festival, Professor Sevinj Mammadkhanova, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical
Technology, stated that such events are crucial for combining students'
theoretical and practical knowledge. She highly praised the festival, where
students demonstrated their creative potential.
Professor
Fariz Amirli, Head of the Department of “Technology of Organic Substances and
High-Molecular Compounds,” spoke about the uniqueness of the Food Festival,
which is being organized at ASOIU for the third time. Noting that foreign
students participated in the festival for the first time this year, Fariz
Amirli emphasized the importance of the exhibition in promoting our national
cuisine, traditions, and culture.
Subsequently,
the exhibition was viewed. Event participants familiarized themselves with the
products prepared by the students and highly praised their creative ideas.
Within the
framework of the exhibition, student teams prepared national dishes
representing various regions of Azerbaijan and delivered presentations
reflecting the culinary traditions of these regions. Each team provided
detailed information about the dishes they prepared, the ingredients used, and
the cooking methods.
Additionally,
foreign students showcased culinary examples from their own countries, which
created an opportunity to demonstrate cultural diversity at the exhibition.
Heads and
representatives of partner enterprises also participated in the festival,
highly commending the students' skills and the national dishes featured in the
exhibition.
