Parliament members in the 1st convocation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Karim Ramazanov was a leading Azerbaijani energy scientist, Doctor of Technical Sciences (1991), and Corresponding Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (2001). He worked at the Azerbaijan Research Institute of Energy as a laboratory head, deputy director for scientific work, and director, making significant contributions to energy system management and optimization of the fuel and energy balance in Azerbaijan.
Ramazanov served as a deputy in the first convocation of the National Assembly, participating in the development of key energy legislation, and later as the chief advisor to the Minister of Economic Development on energy matters. His research focused on optimal management of energy systems, forecasting energy demand, and fostering international cooperation. His work laid the foundation for sustainable development in Azerbaijan’s energy sector and contributed significantly to national energy security.
