ASOIU hosts another seminar as part of the "Green World Solidarity Year"
A seminar was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry
University (ASOIU) on September 18 as part of the "Green World Solidarity
Year," organized by the Faculty of Power Engineering, along with the
departments of "Petrochemical Technology and Industrial Ecology" and
"Industrial Safety and Labour Protection."
The seminar focused on the themes "Azerbaijan at the
Forefront of Global Climate Change: Green Ideas and Technologies,"
"From Industrial Revolution to Green Living," and "Tire
Recycling." In addition to ASOIU faculty and students, participants
included students from the Baku branch of First Moscow State Medical University
named after I. M. Sechenov.
Associate Professor Aydin Aliyev, Dean of the Faculty of
Power Engineering, welcomed the attendees, highlighting the significance of
seminars held within the "Green World Solidarity Year" framework and
provided detailed information on the current topics.
Following that, presentations were made by Tahir Jafarov, a
member of the Technical Council of "Azerenergy" JSC and a consultant
for the Training Center of "Azerishiq" OJSC, on the topic of
"Green Ideas and Technologies"; Associate Professor Durdana Shirinova
from the Department of "Petrochemical Technology and Industrial
Ecology" on "From Industrial Revolution to Green Living"; and
Associate Professor Bayim Shahpalangova from the Department of "Industrial
Safety and Labour Protection" on "Tire Recycling."
At the end of the seminar, participants' questions were
addressed.
